Brenda Wilhelmson, sober for 21 years, says, Life is beautiful, painful, and ironically hilarious. Her book, Diary of an Alcoholic Housewife, humorously describes her struggles getting sober, and while she chatted about it with Ann Curry on the TODAY show, her husband was screwing married women from cheating website Ashley Madison. Now at work on her second memoir, Thank You Ashley Madison, Brenda turns her comical unflinching gaze on betrayal and how to save yourself.
Award-winning author and journalist, Brenda has written for CNN, Chicago Tribune, Huffington Post, and Chicago Reader. A Chicago native, she made the bold move to Taos, New Mexico, where she runs an inn and hosts writing and wellness retreats from the 6,500-square-foot earthship she lives in with her Taosano boyfriend and sweet dog, Ruby.
